About

The Neighborhood Network was formed out of a vision to move towards Jesus' prayer in John 17: 20-21: “I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

It all began with Brent McDougal - Pastor of Cliff Temple Baptist Church - who had a vision to begin a group that was rooted in his local neighborhood. He wanted this to be a group not based on Cliff Temple, but based in the unity all Christians have in Christ. It became place where Anglicans, Methodists, Baptists, and others fellowship without regard for church affiliation in order to talk about their common mission to love their neighbors.

As a result, the Neighborhood Network was formed. The Neighborhood Network is a growing network of Christians that participate in community groups local to their neighborhood (though some of us go to groups that we prefer). Most groups meet weekly and are led through a discussion based off of a scripture. The intention is to build community with people local to our neighborhoods and discuss ways that we can work together to address the needs of our communities and love on our neighbors.

We hope that you will find a local community you can be a part of. Is there not a network group in your neighborhood yet? Pick the closest one! It does not matter where you come from, there is space for you at the table. Be forewarned, community is not easy, pretty, or always happy. However, the payoff is always worth it.
